Skateboarding videos on YouTube are a great way to burn time, even if you do have to choose between squinting or grained-out full screen views.  But hey, they're free!  Skateboarding DVD's are an even better way to burn time, and Concrete Wave is back with the third in the mag's series of DVD's featuring longboarding, speedboarding, parks, pools, freestyle, rippin' ragin' and more.  Heck, it's even gonna be on YouTube, too!

This year, the Evolutions DVD is even longer than last year:  it's 2 hours, 50 minutes of vert, longboarding, street, freestyle, carving, ditches, pools...everything by high-jumping!  Send in your hippie jump vids for next year!  The longest section covers the Pro-Tec Pool Party and Silverfish Longboarding.com has a segment featuring the Meehan Bros.' tribute to Glendora Mountain Road and videos sent in by skaters here at the 'Fish.  The DVD comes free, bundled with Concrete Wave subscribers' Sept./Oct issue.  So, if you're a subscriber, sit back, watch the mailbox and get ready!  If you're not a subscriber, go to ConcreteWaveMagazine.com and become one, ya nut!  In the meantime, click through to find out where you freeloadin' bums can get a free copy...

The Evolutions DVD included with every Concrete Wave subscriber's September/October issue will mail out in about a week.  As with previous editions, the entire disc file will be downloadable from Silverfish Longboarding.com, too.  All you've got to do for the free download is to login, click a button and hunker down...it's a large set of files.  Can't wait?  Need to see it soon?   Well, if you're in the Toronto, Canada, area, there's a DVD release party on August 30th.  CW Publisher, Micheal Brooke will be there, handing out copies of the DVD and more.  Click here for details.  Too far from ya?  Well then, come on down to ASR, up to Maryhill Festival of Speed, down to the World Championships of Slalom at Statesville, NC, the La Costa Open or the IGSA North American Championships!  Each of those race events will have reps from either Concrete Wave, Silverfish Longboarding or both, with piles of DVDs to hand out.

That's not all.  Retailers like Mile High Skates, The Longboard Store, Tail Tap, Sk8 Supply, Daddies Board Shop and Sk8 Trip will all have discs you can receive when you order from them.  Buy some wheels, score a DVD...you get the drill.

What to look for on the disc?  Well, check out the back cover and you can find reason to expect more new footage from Gravity (like they've been foisting on us in the forums), another great batch of BC footage from the crew at Landyachtz, New York shreddage from EarthWing, craziness on wet, British asphalt from the boys at Faltown and you just know the Coast Longboarding segments will be full of stoke!  There are over 30 segments on the disc this time!!  As mentioned above, the racing Meehans at Team Breakaway Industries have produced some great footage of So Cal speedboarding that takes over half of the Silverfish Longboarding section--which also includes footage from around the world, sent in by you (including a joke or two).  It's a party mix on disc, baby!!
