Alright slide junkies here's the deal. Arcane Boards is looking to add a new slide deck to our board arsenal and this is your chance to help out while at the same time having some fun and showing off your skills.

We're going to hold a slide video competition here on Silverfish. The top three finishers will have the chance to get their hands dirty and help Austin design the new deck. They will also get the very first prototypes to help test and refine. This will be a Maple deck with definite composite possibilities. The awesome crew at Black Velvet Slide Pucks is in on the action and will be offering up a full Velvet Set with Velcro for the #1 top finisher in the comp.

The rules are simple. Bring whatever style and slides you want, just make it look good. The videos can be up to a minute and a half long with as many slides and variations you can fit into it. Your video entry doesn't have to run the whole time, this is just to give you more of an opportunity to lay down some good stuff without the need for super clean editing. Dig deep down into your bag o tricks and pull out some show stoppers. It also isn't necessary for it to be from one single session. Gather all the best slides you have and put them together to make a great entry. Music and credits are fine but remember, you are going to be judged on your slides and style.

For those of you that don't think you might have the skills it would still be great to see a video from you, the more the merrier no matter the skill level. It's a chance to help design a board and earn a prototype but it's also meant to be fun and to inspire your fellow sliders whether they are slide ninjas or just joining the ranks. Spreading the stoke is what it's all about.

There will be an official entry thread in the skateboard sliding forum starting June 13th. The competition is slated to end on July 3rd, hopefully that should give you guys and gals plenty of time to get something together. On July 5th we will post the open judging thread where everyone on the Fish will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite slider. A special team has also been gathered to judge the vids and and come up with the final decision.

This will be open to all Silverfish members everywhere, if you know someone that kills the hills and isn't a member have them sign up and enter.

Check the Arcane Boards Slide Video Contest Thread .

Have fun and wear your protective gear.
