Summertime is the time for skating? The Aussie's agree and are right in the middle of theirs. In another month, it's the Slalom Nats in Queensland... The Aussie NatsFeb 20, 21, Queensland, Australia  The stage is set for the 4th Annual Australian National Slalom Skateboarding Competition, proudly presented by PLAZMALAB. The event is a dual hybrid slalom, to be held in conjunction with the BIG3 International Trade Expo at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on the 20th and 21st of February in 2008 sanctioned by the International Slalom Skateboarding Association (ISSA). The event has had great support over the last 3 years attracting up to 10,000 spectators and an awsome array of skilled slalom racers from all across the country. This year, the event is positioned in the driveway of the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, in direct view from the Gold Coast Highway. The driveway boasts a nice little gradient, with a smooth, hot-mixed surface, and perfect cambre.
This year, the event is sanctioned under the International Slalom Skateboarding Association and is being coordinated by the ANSSC Event Committee, ASRA, and the BIG3 Management team. The 2008 event boasts a list of sponsors committed to ensuring that the event will be of World Class standard with a swag of prizes for all whom make the journey!!! The event will be a dual hybrid slalom format, with practice and qualifying on the 20th and racing on the 21st. Registration for the event is $50.00 for the two days and includes a competition t-shirt and 2008 annual ASRA membership. Registration is via email to downhillsk8@gmail.com.
