The Arizona Pusher.
This is the first ever Arizona Pusher, and it is open to everyone! We are working with local shops and some of out favorite board companies to put this event on and spread the stoke in Arizona. This event requires nothing but fun and a little exercise , so if you have a board come out and push! This event was initially the idea of Cole Kurtz and was brought to life with the help of a few friends and sponsors, PoopRadio clothing and boards owner, Christian Selby, and the help from Honey Threads, Sidewalk Surfer, Tunnel,Loaded, and LongboardLarry. Through their advice and generosity this event was able to become a reality , and the whole thing is really molded together by all you lovely people out there on the fish helping plan and organize the event.
The day of the pusher is going to be June 28 and registration will be at 9:30 A.M.. The event is a easy smooth 6 mile ride that is safe and fun. It starts at Chaparral Park off of Chaparral Rd. and Hayden rd. in Scottsdale. The event will start at 10 after registration is completed. The ride takes us through multiple parks and the local skate park, "the Wedge". There will be nearly 700 bottles of water to keep everyone hydrated and safe thanks to Fresh and Easy. After the skating is done there will be a BBQ right by the finish line at Tempe Town Lake. During the post skate party we will be giving away lots of prizes and goodies on a raffle based system. We will be giving away everything, Even a few free decks and some wheels=). This event is all about having fun but for all those looking for a good race there are benefits. Every person will get one raffle ticket before the race, but the top places will get extra raffle tickets so your hustle will not go unrewarded. Anyone who is looking to have some fun and meet some new skaters should come. The event is free, the food is free, the prizes are free. If you love to skate and have a good time this is the event for you. The course is smooth, fun, full of cool scenery, and easy. So come out , have some fun , and spread the stoke!!
