Michael Stefaun's new Pro Deck from Pool Kings is bringing the bling!  Look at that thing!  Click it to visit the site.

Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well.

Bustin Boards is hosting their 1st Annual Open House for Charity on Saturday 17 May at their loft in Hoboken NJ.  The Open House is an all day event that begins in Central Park’s Columbus Circle for a ride around the loop.  Bustin, OKOTO Apparel, and Skater Socks will be throwing out gear to everyone that participates.  Once all riders finish with the loop they can choose to 1) bomb the taxi riddled streets of Broadway through famed Times Square with Bustin Crew and team riders or 2) take a self guided tour through the world’s greatest city.  Riders of all ages are welcome back at the Bustin Loft until it is time to setup for the night’s festivities.

This year’s Open House is in support of Adaptive Action Sports (AAS).
AAS creates programs and opportunities for individuals with permanent physical disabilities to participate in 'action sports' and or the art and music scene that follows them.  AAS was founded in 2005 by double below knee amputee Amy Purdy, her able bodied friend Daniel Gale, and below knee amputee Garry Moore.  You may have seen some of their athletes competing in this year’s Winter X Games on ESPN in events like the Women’s Halfpipe and MonoX.

Doors open for the charity event at 9pm and all partygoers must be 21 or older.  $10 minimum gets you in the door for drinks, food, giveaways and a chance to meet some of the people involved in AAS like Co-Founder Daniel Gale.

Special thanks goes out to all the sponsors:  Anheuser-Busch, Zyr Vodka, Monster Energy Drinks, OKOTO Apparel, Skater Socks, DontBeStupid.com, Stereo Skateboards, Surly Greetings, and Concrete Wave Magazine!  More sponsors could be added so keep up with bulletins on Bustin’s MySpace and the event’s site www.bustinboards.com/openhouse.  Contact Matt Colvin at matt@bustinboards.com if you would like to donate to the event or if you have any questions!  Everyone is invited so we hope to see you in NYC!
