[This comes to us straight from the Burlington Crew, a stoked session in what looks to be an amazing location. If you are in the area check it out. If not, time for a road trip.]

Why should you come to this event? Because it is all about having a good time with good friends, good skating, and good food. Yes, food. This is a Pot Luck event, so bring some kind of dish or beverage to share with the group. If you can't bring anything, then don't worry about it, just bring a good attitude. We will have at least one grill, and all the appropriate fixings: plates, napkins, utensils, cups, burgers, buns, water, and some other goodies.
There isn't enough I can say about Overlook Park in South Burlington. It has excellent pavement, a pristine view of the Adirondacks, and Lake Champlain. The neighborhood is quiet, and so far, quite supportive of what we do. The traffic is light and extremely manageable. This is THE hill for sliding, but it also offers a good downhill run. From the top, it's a straight shot down until you hit a slight banked left-handed sweeper. Once you exit the sweeper you are faced with two options, straight ahead or a hard right. Depending on which direction you take, you have more options, making this a versatile hill.
Attached to this hill are two more hills, and a killer bike path that brings you back into the Greater Burlington area. Each adjoining hill has it's own unique qualities and characteristics, ones steep, the other's long. Both have some good sharp turns, and mellow sweepers, both can be taken as fast as you feel comfortable, which makes this an excellent location for all skill levels. The bike path is long and offers a great afternoon skate. Pascal and Niko of Kebbek have approved one section of the bike path, known as the White Barn Run. All of these locations are our back-up spots, incase we get bored or kicked out. The latter has never happened yet. If you care to spend the night, there are wooded areas that offer at least one night of "outlaw" camping. Moving around is recommended for multiple nights. There are also a variety of couches and blow-up mattresses offered up by the skate community here. The event kicks off on April the 13th, a Sunday, at 11:00 am. Ideally we want to stay and watch the sunset over the Adirondacks. For more information, please email 802lbc@gmail.com or refer to the New England section of the Event Forums .
