Newsflash

Not all skate shirts are black!   Check out the Silverfish Gear Page .  There are new men's, women's and kids' shirts!  (Some are even black.)

We're using "spreadshirt", so you order straight from them.  Dig through the listings and you'll find some classic 'Fish designs, including shirts with art taken from member Ryan's art-pen drawings.  Have an idea for a shirt?  Send it in!

As a precursor to the Encinitas Open, the La Costa Boys ran an outlaw GS on the infamous Pump Station hill, in San Diego, California.  The event offered fast racing and good times, with hours of solid racing for the spectators.

When it was all over, the day belongs to Jason "Racer X" Mitchell, who bested all comers by almost a second and a half!  His pursuers were hotly contesting the hill, and running blistering times, but just weren't able to catch Mitchell.

The Legends, Juniors, Women and "Self-Defined C Divisiion" also skated the formidable hill.  In the Legends class, the over-50 set included Cliff Coleman, Gib Lewis, Chris Yandall, Norski and Jamie Hart.  Yandall signalled a "come back", by leading his field with over a half-second.  Read below for more details.

It's late, and your writer is tired.  So, here are results, five deep.  Full results later.  Go see the first 200 or so photos in the Galleries when you're done!
