Newsflash

Not all skate shirts are black!   Check out the Silverfish Gear Page .  There are new men's, women's and kids' shirts!  (Some are even black.)

We're using "spreadshirt", so you order straight from them.  Dig through the listings and you'll find some classic 'Fish designs, including shirts with art taken from member Ryan's art-pen drawings.  Have an idea for a shirt?  Send it in!

Concrete Wave Drawing: The Evolution of the Skateboard PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 23 January 2006

One of the coolest things at ASR was this wall-display, entitled "The Evolution of Skateboarding". Malcolm Wilson is the creator of the sculpture and It drew crowds to the Greg Noll Surfboards booth, including Concrete Wave Magazine publisher, Michael Brooke.

Now, Michael Brooke is going to give it away, and maybe to YOU! He's going to draw a name out of a hat and give it to one lucky person. Every Concrete Wave advertiser, every skate shop owner that sells CW over the counter and every subscriber are each "automatically" entered in the drawing, and there's another way to win...

Silverfish Longboarding members can enter to win! That's right, if you're a registered member of the 'Fish, Michael Brooke will add your name to the hat he draws from!! This could mean he'll need a big hat: we're up over 3,000 registered members!

Major Stoke from Concrete Wave. The "Evolution of Skateboarding" is a wall-mountable artwork, and looks even better in person than it does in this photo we snapped before Michael spoke to the artist and purchased the piece. It's valued at over $3,500.00 USD and would make an incredible display on a shop, office or living room wall.

How to Enter. It's easy: if you're already an advertiser in Concrete Wave, Michael Brooke will do it for you! If you're a registered member of Silverfish Longboarding, here's what you do: log in, and send an email to Michael at the screen name you've seen him posting under. Include your real name, address and phone number. One entry per person, deadline to enter is November 1, 2006.

On behalf of all of us, THANK YOU MICHAEL!! What a way to stoke someone out!!
