Skatin' the FrankinFish My superhero friend Kyle Chin and I thought it would be a good idea to make a video to show the versatility of the Loaded Fish. Not only can it be used as a surfy/carvy board but also as a technical slide board if you throw on the right wheels. We went to our favorite neighborhood hill, Franklin, to film the video. Hence the name FrankinFish. I skated mostly on the 81a 66mm strikers and really focused on a surfy style of riding: getting down low, slashing, really using the kick tail to slide the board around. The board has grip-tape on the foam tail, which helps a lot for extra grip.
Kyle threw on the Slide A Earthwing super balls, and really laid into some big stand up speed checks and pressure spins. The board is very functional as a slide board, you just got to be careful not to get your foot caught on the exposed wheel. The board is not the best board in the world to ollie but you can perform certain old skool and new school tricks on the beast. Some are a lot harder on a fish than a traditional skateboard but that is half of the fun and half of the frustration. Anyways I hope you enjoy our new video, we had a lot of fun making it. We are rocking the SILVER Fish, which is a Loaded Fish with silver fish prints on the bottom. If you pick one of these up off the Loaded Site , Loaded uses much of the proceeds to help support our very own Silverfish longboarding. You can see a thread with all the happy Silver Fish owners here . |
