Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well. |

Recently, we were contacted with an inquiry about a "Scandinavian longboard video". It turns out, there is a new DVD and it just might be the first such project to come out of Scandinavia. Here's the info, straight from the source: Longing for LifeThe DVD With its small population the Scandinavian country of Norway is finally showing people where they are on a world scale. The buzz around the recent release of the movie ‘Longing for Life’ longboarding has been growing faster than Paris Hilton’s pasty collection or as my inbox might suggest, lack of. The Media love it. "Who are these people bombing our streets?" This summer the longboard crew has been attracting attention wherever they roll and have several times been documented on national TV and had articles on any action sport internet site worth looking at.
Longing for Life is a look into the Norwegian summer at its best. Norway is blessed with some of the most picturesque mountains in the world. Together with the sharp hairpin turns and smooth roads the country is the perfect location for any downhill charger but it isn’t all about leather and bombing like there is no tomorrow. When the crew aren’t out rolling, they re performing mind-blowing stunts from any cliff or bridge with water beneath. When I write beneath I mean from heights that will leave you coughing blood and a lobster sun tan if you should mess up.
 The crew are in constant search for the perfect place for asphalt surfing and adrenaline that comes with reaching speeds of 80 kph. Whether they are turning the playgrounds into skateparks or grinding on a thin layer of rim in slide sessions you can be sure that they are pushing limits and raising the bar. And when the summer moves on to autumn you can be sure to see the same boys gathering leaves for sliding and fighting the cold winter in the parking houses so they can do what they love and continue the stoke.
