The IGSA California Downhill Series picks up after the winter break and return to Frank G. Bonelli Park in San Dimas, California on Saturday, February 10th.. If you've got leathers, come to the Los Angeles foothills to race speedboards, streetluge classic luge, gravity bikes or inline speedskates on a close-course hill with speeds in the high-40's for skateboards & bikes, and into the 50's for the lugers and inliners. If you want a fun day to watch racing in a park setting with BBQ's, shade and a nearby lake, this is the place to be!
This race will be on the Via Verde course used in the 2006 DH Series races, and will be the first official downhill race of the 2007 season. This season brings a different field to the speedboard and luge classes. The Streetluge and Speedboard classes will be missing Tyler Wentland, who's just entered basic training for the US Army Rangers, and Brent DeKeyser, who's just moved back to Michigan (presumably to shovel snow and fight bears in the UP), but will be featuring up-n-coming rippers like Georges Siddiqi, Nick Natividad and possibly Christian Conaway adding a class to his Gravity Bike racing plans.
The Streetluge class may also provide another showdown between Mike McIntyre, John Fryer, Waldo Autry, Digger Green and the dreaded Rogers Bros. racing team. Complete details along with registration and entry forms are available at IGSA, click here for them . |
