Quantcast

Newsflash

The Bennett "lockerboard" was scootin' around the Crossroads show recently and Mr. Bennett called to say they're out on the market now in a limited run of hand-screened, numbered completes.  We're stoked to see the little, rockered deck out there!

They've got the hook-hole in the nose, wheelwells that match perfectly when you crank'em over to turn the way Bennetts do and 'gators on the 4.3's.   They're at TailTap.com.

One of the most exciting developments of the year is that the French Commission Nationale Descente(CND) has decided to join the IGSA so that French downhill events will receive IGSA World Cup Series points. The CND is a national sports federation that is actually backed by the French government! For years, the French downhill scene has been one of the strongest on the planet and the IGSA is very excited to be working with the CND.

Look fast?  Floyd Landis bonked while climbing it in the '06 Tour.  Will Seigrist break 100kph descending it?

The first French event to be sanctioned by the IGSA is the Izoard Legendary Downhill Race. It will be held August 19-20, 2006 and will be an IGSA Regional level event. The race course is on one of the best known Tour de France climbs… the infamous Col d’Izoard! The start is at an altitude of 2360 metres, the racetrack is two kilometers with a mix of straightaways, sweeping corners and hairpins. From the top of the course, you can see the whole racetrack. The pavement is totally new, thanks to Le Tour de France!

Not very scenic...luckily, the racers will have tunnel vision at this point...
