Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well.

\"\"STICKS FOR CHICKS: Longboards for girls.

Chances are, if you\'re reading this article you\'re male. Why? Because a whole lot more guys longboard than girls...

\"\"So why are you reading an article about longboards for girls? It\'s probably one of a few things:

  1. You like girls, you\'re into girls and you like everything that has to do with girls.
  2. You have a girlfriend, a girl that\'s a friend, wife, sister or other relative that either wants to get into longboarding, is into longboarding or you want to get into longboarding.
  3. You shamelessly devour everything written on the subject of longboarding, and this is on the subject of longboarding.

If you don\'t fall into one of those categories, feel free to make your own category below.

The other option is that you\'re a girl, in which case, read on because there aren\'t many companies that create feminine longboards, but the ones that do are listed here. (Disclaimer: Silverfish longboarding does not think that for a girl to longboard she has to ride a longboard made for a girl.)

Flexdex:
Flexdex makes their boards out of a special material they invented and claim is virtually unbreakable. It\'s used for everything from skateboards to pier grating to I-beams to rods. Aside from being unbreakable, the boards look nice, and while on the heavy side, many find the ride just what they were looking for. Check out the boards here.

[image3_left][image4_right]Sector 9:
Sector 9 is probably the biggest longboard maker in the world. Check out their \"Fe-nines\" here.

Fluid:
Check out the Rina--another board for females.

TVS:
TVS makes the Lady Cruiser.

Here are a few companies that make boards that could also pass for Chick Sticks as far as we\'re concerned:

Aloha:
Check out the Hibiscus Bluntnose.

Dewey Weber:
Another flowery board: the Aloha Streetfish.

Prime Skunk:
They have some feminine boards, but good luck getting ahold of the company....

Powerpaw makes Wheels for Girls to complete your board, check \'em out.

Are we missing something? If you\'re a girl, what are you skating (chick stick or otherwise). What would you reccommend other girls look for in a longboard? Add your comments below, or email them to skate@silverfish.cc.
