Over the past few years there have been a number of great books that cover the gamut as far as Skateboarding, its origins, the art, the decks, the music, the people and the ink. There are not many books, however, that deal with the sociological issues surrounding skateboarding as a culture. With the numbers of skaters growing and a new breed of self actualized skaters evolving, it would make sense that we would start to see texts delving into the issues surrounding us as a culture.
