Fresh in from our friends at Tunnel, their long-awaited 70mm wheel... Tunnel Products release Tarantula Wheels!
Tunnel Products is proud to announce the Tarantula wheel, a 70 mm wheel designed specifically for longboarding that was over a year in the making. The design process brought together the top skateboard engineers, riders, and those of us at Tunnel.
The re-release of the 63 mm Tunnel Rocks two years ago re-introduced the skateboarding world to the quality and design of Tunnel skateboard wheels that first
appeared in 1975. In the 70s, the world’s best skateboarders were riding Tunnel wheels, whether carving pools, ripping Baldy or bombing down Signal Hill at over 50 miles an hour! Our new Tarantula Wheels are poured in Huntington Beach, California of extremely high quality urethane and have the rebound and grip that skateboarders crave for their longboards, cruisers and racing skateboards. An off-set bearing placement with a core results in quick turning and the Tarantula Wheel features the Tunnel specialty, an outside “Tunnel” lip that grips the road like no other design. With a height of 70 mm and a width of 52 mm, it’s a great size for conquering any hill.
We were lucky enough to get the services of ace rock poster artist Jason Cooper who has created works for bands like Ministry, Rollins Band and Gwar. Jason did
an amazing job with the old school embossing for our wheel as well as beautiful Tarantula stickers that come with every set. His Tarantula Woman, with her 8
limbs, is sure to become a skateboarding icon.
To start with, the Tarantula wheels are coming in four
color/hardness combinations…

The Tarantula Wheel will not disappoint long-time Tunnel fans and will definitely bring more into the Tunnel fold. Like the Ferrari name is to sports cars, Tunnel has always been synonymous with the world’s finest skateboard wheels.
