The crew at Ladera Longboards come to us out of a town near Santa Cruz, California.  Steeped in the fast, forest lined hills of the Santa Cruz mountains and wild evasions of the vicious campus police at UC Santa Cruz, this team of buddies don't talk a lot of smack, they just ride fast, surf big waves and spread the stoke.  Their vid from '05 remains one of the most stoked, fun speedboard offerings out there.   Recently, they've updated their product line with a new concaved & cambered deck, updated their website to dazzle your eyes and decided to bro you a t-shirt if you buy a board.  Check it out, here's their newest:

Ladera’s latest hill-slayer, the 38” Respect Roots is essentially an upgraded version of their best-selling pintail, the Ripper. The major difference is a touch of camber, which gives the board a moderate amount of flex perfect for high-speed carves, slides and drift-turns. A kick-tail and slight concave keep the rider’s feet on the sweet spot, and a killer board graphic by David Hale will have you ripping in style.

Like all the Laderas, the new deck sports killer, unique graphics, Canadian Maple & Epoxy construction and comes specc'ed with Abec 11 wheels.  The complete, with Flashbacks will run you $169.99, and they'll upgrade your wheels to ZigZags for a few more bucks.  Either way, they'll give you a pretty darn cool looking t-shirt if you buy a whole board.

The deck, alone, will set ya back $69.99, and you can log on to Ladera’s re-vamped website (laderalongboards.com ) to order and check out newly updated team bios, videos, and artist profiles.  Videos, you say?  They're updating and adding vids on a regular basis.  Check out the boys, themselves, in the "Eye for an Eye" vid on their site, and search out Ladera on Youtube for more.
