The board is 46" but don't let that fool you into thinking the wheelbase is going to be big. The massive kick tail and sort of big nose leave the wheelbase at 26 inches, so it rides more like a shorter board.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: about a month
What is your setup like?: Nothing special, the board deck, gullwing mission 1 (bad trucks) dregs 66mm wheels, and mutated abec 5 bearings
Typical Session Discipline: Cruising, Little bit of DH, trying to dance
How much did you pay?: 85$
Where did you purchase it?: Ebay
What were the strengths of the deck.: The deck is really comfortable to ride. Just cruising on it is the greatest thing ever. The kick tail is great if you can utilize it, and the board fits under your feet well. The paint job for the L1 moonsurf is really cool. great for pumping with loose trucks.
What were the weaknesses?: First off, the board is unstable. I was going 25 down a hill, and got severe death wobble and flew off the board. I got a concussion (i think) and messed up my elbow. Also, repeatedly slamming the kicktail or nose on the ground get them pretty beat up pretty fast. The deck has almost to no flex, and is therefore kind of uncomfortable to do sharp carves on.
Similar decks you have ridden?: The closest I have ridden is the Sector 9 pintail, but it's still really different.
Would you recommend it?: Undecided
