Deck Materials: Flexdex BLACK material deck
The RT Classic 29 reps its name hard. Defined, “classic” means to serve as a standard, model or guide, and that’s exactly what this board continues to do. Since its development the Classic 29 has held its own against boards designed to turn, bomb, cruise, carve, shred and stomp. Hailed as the commando of the Flexdex line-up, the Classic 29 is ready for every situation.

The 2007 model of the Classic 29 is undoubtedly the finest version yet. Produced for ’07 in the all new Flexdex BLACK material, the board is the lightest, fastest, flexiest and most reponsive shredder to ever roll out of Flexdex.

Retaining the same shape since its conception the Classic 29 seems to be just to perfect to change. Loaded up with with fast response 8” Unit Trucks, 1/2" Vibra Soft risers, 65mm x 78a Urethane Center-Core-cast Flexdex wheels with a stone-grind finished contact patch and FKD Abec 5 racing bearings, the Classic 29 is designed to thrash.

Uncle Ebone says "OK, the Classic 29 has been my favorite board for years. Since we added extra mounting holes, it allowed everyone to play with the flex, the turning radius, and really gives the board multiple personalties. By applying our Ride Technology to the C29, you get a more responsive board that allows you to push yourself and find your limits. Bottom line: More stoke per minute. (Tip: it's also the best cross-trainer I have ridden for improving my 70's style surfing)

Surf style essence meets high tech, precision in the Classic 29. The board’s shape and origination evoke all the flow and sublime style that one should expect from a surf inspired board. With its rounded off egg shape nose and stubbed blunt tail, the Classic 29 is constantly seeking a mission on the nearest boardwalk, slashing style points on sandy sidewalks and laying smooth lines in the sun, living the life of a terra firma surfboard as it was meant to do.

Designed as the most shred-capable board in the ‘07 spread, the Classic 29 sports a serious tail and an aggressive truck setup. The ample tail proves its worth easily lifting and popping the board for any tail trick needs.

The board’s solid, responsive platform offers room for a wide stance, perfect for clean laybacks and surf-like ripping. A highly agile board, the Classic 29 produces a smooth, yet very solid response when pressure is applied to the rails.

very stable yet quick and turny. very surfy. multiple holes gives you more options and lets you play with and control the flex.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 1 week
What is your setup like?: C29 deckrt-s/x combo tracker trucksabec11 noskoolz 81a 65mmbones reds
Typical Session Discipline: carving, pumping, commuting
What were the strengths of the deck.: very durable, flexy but short, rides like a longboard but agile and snappy, multiple mounting holes make your board into a multi function board, long and flexy or short and snappy or just in between.
What were the weaknesses?: sliding may be hard...lack of kicktail, alothough tail is usable, deck is so flexy that the middle of the board rises a bit. not a big deal but defenitly a minus.
Similar decks you have ridden?: nothing can compare to this deck.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
