Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well.

Big 70mm's and FLEX, that's what we did. This board is MADE for pumping up and down the lot before your heat in a surf comp for a better warm-up. It's a "slalom" derivative shape and style. It likes to go faster than our other short boards - guys like Boomer who bombs hills in La Jolla that have speed bumps across them. Boomer completely DUSTS his friends on wood boards. Boomer swears "This model is the BEST". The guys down in Oz are also in love the Slalom 30 - seems the board handles that bumpy stuff they call "pavement" down there really well. The Slalom 30 is pure flexdex® fun in a short board, and equipped to handle anything you can throw at it. The Slalom 30 was also produced as the Tim Curran 30. For more flex, try putting extra mounting holes in the decks so you could expand the wheelbase - and increase the pump. No worries on drilling the flexdex composite (unlike wood).
