Pretty awesome board for the price in the stores. Kinda like the slater in the way of the shape and size, but the slater got more flex.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: Bout A month
What is your setup like?: Fish deck, revenge torsion trucks with arbor 78a wheels
Typical Session Discipline: What ever's clever
How much did you pay?: Well i'm using it till i get my pin back so $0.00
Where did you purchase it?: Wickwinder (Arbor Canada Distribution)
What were the strengths of the deck.: Well, it's strong. Nice finish, carves nice, smooth ride, good size
What were the weaknesses?: Too Strong (barely any flex)
Similar decks you have ridden?: KOA Pin (but smaller) KOA Slater
Would you recommend it?: Yes

greeeeat board for the allrounder, it seems to be good at everything, and not just average at everything but awsome at everything
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: about 8 months
What is your setup like?: arbor fish deck, revenge type 1 trucks(tortion trucks), sawblade bearings, and arbor 78a wheels
Typical Session Discipline: downhill and carving
How much did you pay?: too much, but it was worth it
Where did you purchase it?: skatebiz
What were the strengths of the deck.: the concave is perfectly shaped for grip for carving,, the deck has shit all flex though, pumping is waaaay to hard on it, its fairly thick though so it does provide a solid stand, its long enough for a good wheel base so its a solid board for a few hills hear and there
What were the weaknesses?: its like in between a proper pintail and a smaller board, u do get the solid and slick feel of a pintail, but the trade off is that u get half the pintails feel, like u would buy a smaller board if u wanted a small board, this one feels like a small board but its not, and its more stable, i dont like the size either, bit to big to carry for me
Similar decks you have ridden?: nothing, the fish is unique
Would you recommend it?: Yes

I gave it poor stabilty b/c of my bushings. Its only really at high speeds. It's totally manageable though. Durability dropped b/c of the MINOR de-lam issue. The ride I gave a 4 b/c unless tou have shock pads, like I do, it's gonna be a slightly harsh ride.

Wicked good board especially for the price.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: About a year
What is your setup like?: Randal R II 150's w/ 69/81a 9balls
Typical Session Discipline: Carving sometimes cruising and occasional speed run
How much did you pay?: like 150-160
Where did you purchase it?: tacticsboardshop.com
What were the strengths of the deck.: Wicked tight turning, pumpable, VERY pretty
What were the weaknesses?: My Koa veneer has de-lammed a little bit around the truck-mounting hardware and on one of the rails but nothing a little wood glue couldn't fix
Similar decks you have ridden?: S9 Tree Hugger and Island Hopper
Would you recommend it?: Yes

This boards sweet!, Friday, 02 February 2007

This board is so very sweet. It can do it all with alacrity. I wouldn't recommend it if your are doing some serious downhill, but for carving and bombing moderatly, as well as the not-so-random parking garage sessions, this board will make you so very happy. It has moderate flex, so you feel like you have something fairly sturdy keeping you off the pavement at 30 mph. Also, it's only 38" long, so it is more portable that, say, your average 46" pintail. Also also, you can't deny it's good looks. The bookmatch koa top is to die for. Only problem is that the painting on the bottom of mine is coming off from wear, but hey, that's expected. All in all, i would recommend this board to people who are looking for a good all around board that won't disappoint.
