VERY Mad Bomber (2), Friday, 02 February 2007

This is the first board I ever worked on excessively during the very first few days of ownership. From trying out different trucks, bushings, wheels, and bugging Jeff on how to modify it into a drop thru. I didn't modify it but I ended up with this set-up: -Independent 215 w/Indy black bushings -1/8" shock pad -Bones Swiss bearings -Abec 11 83mm/75A Flywheels Within 2 days I've done repeated test runs and with that set-up above I got stable rides above 25mph using the Indy orange bushings. With those bushings I got very smooth carving action. With the Indy black bushings, the board tells me "F**K YOU, I WANNA GO FAAAAAST!". Indeed, it does go very fast, SCREAMING FAST! Today I got the board up to 45.5mph(gimme the .5mph cuz the chaser vehicle has a needle speedometer) and it's VERY stable. I was getting scared cuz Indies aren't known for speed stability but they held firm! Jeff did an outstanding job with the board design. Good looks isn't the best part of it, neither is the nice width nor the generous cut-outs. Either Jeff is a mathematical genious or he got lucky, but the deck's concave is soooooo sweet! Not too shallow and not too deep. I give this board a 2 Big Toe rating (my version of saying 2 thumbs up). Jeff, where's the drop-thru Mad Bomber (3)?
