Michael Stefaun's new Pro Deck from Pool Kings is bringing the bling! Look at that thing! Click it to visit the site. Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well. |

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: The board is dated 11/28/2006What is your setup like?: RTS/X wedged in the front. 70mm Red Zig ZagsTypical Session Discipline: garages and around campus. How much did you pay?: $80 for the deck but the complete was a little more, with diff. wheelsWhere did you purchase it?: Staright from JulianWhat were the strengths of the deck.: The deck is the best one I have in the quiver. Great hand craftsmanship. She looks pretty no matter what angle you look at it. The concave is just right, locks me in, but not too deep. The grit is just right, enough to hold me on, but not overwhelmingWhat were the weaknesses?: She dings up ver easily. I guess that's what happens when you get a very good looking board, the dings show up like a sore thumb.Similar decks you have ridden?: Nothing really. This was my first mini.Would you recommend it?:
Yes

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: Few weeksWhat is your setup like?: RTX/RTS 106mmBlue tracker bushingsgfh mini wheels or hard red tunnel'sTypical Session Discipline: CruisingHow much did you pay?: TradeWhere did you purchase it?: tradeWhat were the strengths of the deck.: Functional kick tail very easy to get a feel for. Slight upturn on the nose that just felt right. The flex is very good, it moves but isn't bouncy but isn't a rock either. What were the weaknesses?: No real concave to the deck making it hard to really feel where you are. Looks and feels much taller than it really is.Similar decks you have ridden?: Shorter sector nine'sWould you recommend it?:
Undecided
