I'd absolutely recommend it. If you are looking for a topmount DH deck, this is definitely a great choice. Just plan on using the shorter wheelbase, or chopping it a bit to make it a bit more practical. Really a fun deck.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 2 months
What is your setup like?: Old Cindrich hangers, 50*/40* Cindrich plates, Venom barrels, Moc 9 Airrr bearings, Lime BigZigs (Rears Radiused.)
Typical Session Discipline: Downhill, Speedboarding.
How much did you pay?: Traded for Loki Flush
Where did you purchase it?: Silverfish Classifieds trade.
What were the strengths of the deck.: The first thing you notice is how light this deck is. This thing complete weights about as much as my JimZ Pro Flushcut deck alone. The combination of super stiff flex, and awesome aggressive concave give this the perfect topmount feel. The thin profile of the deck also makes it about 1/4" lower than traditional topmounts (non-flush,) and with the Cindrich hangers and 75mm wheels, the thing rides very low. The width is perfect.
What were the weaknesses?: Not really anything. My own preference would be for it to be about 6 inches shorter. It's attributes really make it a contender for the best cornering topmount, its length is the downfall of the deck. The EFP allows you to have your foot directly over the front truck, meaning that this entire deck is pretty much the effective foot platform. There is wayyy more room on this deck than other downhill decks with even the largest platform.
Similar decks you have ridden?: Pagan top, Crystal Chalice, VooDoo XL, Boomerang, Avenger, Revenger, Bomb Hills, many more...
Would you recommend it?: Yes
