Classic 29 - 7 Time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater's favorite, Ebone's too. This is the commando of the Flexdex line, able to handle anything thrown its way. Probably the most widely ridden model since ANY age flexer can ride this board. The harder you ride this deck, the more energy it puts out! This is definitely the model if you want to rock n' roll through slow moving pedestrians, or pump and carve the smooth transitions of a skatepark or elementary school. Our goal with Kelly on his model was all about maneuverability and speed. Equivalent to a short board surfboard the Classic 29 is quick and snappy and pumps like a dream. Its the closest you'll get to shredding a wave, without actually getting in the water. Its the perfect board for days when there's no surf. It can rip around on the street, down alleys and off curbs, making every terrain perfect for this board. Its the ideal model for cruising to and from school, going from class to class, skating to the store or even to a party down the street. The Classic 29 is made with the same 1/4" Flexdex® material used on the original Kelly Slater design, but with brand new top of the line upgrades. The re-issued Classic 29's are built with ABEC5 FKD bearings, smooth 8" Unit fast-turning polished trucks, 1/2" risers, and Kryptonics 65mm wheels. Ebone gave the "go" on this combo after testing the new model in a "No Skateboarding" zone... the session ended running from security. Simply put, the Classic 29 is "one of the best boards I've ever owned…which hauls ass and rides as smooth as a Rolls Royce." by Dave Carnie at Big Brother Mag. BOOM.

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 2 MonthsWhat is your setup like?: High Response Unit Trucks
70mm Retro ZigZags
Yellow VXB bearingsTypical Session Discipline: cruising, carving, some pumpingHow much did you pay?: $75Where did you purchase it?: silverfishlongboarding forumsWhat were the strengths of the deck.: The flexdex site says it can carve on a dime. They weren't joking. The response on this thing is like no other. It always makes it feel awkward getting back on my 47" board. I'm 6'2" asian, so people are always amazed at my ability to even stand on it. You can fit the board in the backpack. Easier if you take off the trucks. I'll be honest and say that I am a noob in longboarding, but it is definitely easier to pump on this. You'll always find yourself doing hard carves just because it's so fun on this board. It really does ride like a big board. What were the weaknesses?: The Glass Grenade doesn't have the lifetime warranty. Its got about 90 days with proof of purchase if anything happens to it. I thought all flexdex were unbreakable, but that claim only applies to their black flexdex material and not the wood or clear material. My friend thought it was unbreakable started jumping on it, and it snapped in two places. The stock 61/66mm felt too small. Stock FKD bearings are hard to clean because they are metal shielded. The clear material needs regular cleaning if you want that cool clear look. The board doesn't fit on all racks (only ones where it's tapered towards the top). REALLY small base. Wiped out the first time because I couldn't get my pushing foot on the board.Similar decks you have ridden?: Nothing. This is like no other mini board.Would you recommend it?:
Yes

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 3 MonthsWhat is your setup like?: Krown wheels (lol)
Conventional "Venture" trucks, with softer bushingsTypical Session Discipline: Cruise/Carve/WalkHow much did you pay?: $88 (Deck only)Where did you purchase it?: Flexdex.comWhat were the strengths of the deck.: One of the strengths of this deck is it's strength! I'm a 190-lb rider and get quite a bit of flexing, but have not bottomed out. Wheelbase is maxxed out for max flexage...that's another strength: adjustable wheel base, allows you to make your board your own. Really smooth cruiser, handles uneven sidewalks well. What were the weaknesses?: I'm afraid to find out. Fortunately, I haven't slammed my board into a wall yet. I also try my best not to drag the tail as this is fiberglass we're talking about. Maybe for future reference, Flexdex can include nose/tail guards on these so the actual deck doesn't get damaged that waySimilar decks you have ridden?: Are there any similar decks? Don't think so! It's one of a kind!Would you recommend it?:
Yes

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: about 7 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Tracker RTX/S 150mm, Pleasure Tools bearings, Pink SicksicksTypical Session Discipline: Commute, CarveWhat were the strengths of the deck.: Easily the most fun board I have ridden out of about 8 other decks. Pumping is really easy, and like it says, when there is no surf, this is the board to rip up the concrete with. What were the weaknesses?: My friend ran my board into a pole, and the nose just splintered and got smushed. But it still rides fine, just much much uglier.Similar decks you have ridden?: The Pro40, but the C29 is better.Would you recommend it?:
Yes
