Newsflash

Chris Chaput's just released some insight to where his Abec 11 and Retro wheel lines are going for 2010.  Yep, that's a green FreeRide you're seeing and not a Striker.

In fact, Strikers just became "rare and collectible" for the eBay crowd.  Click the pic to jump over and get the inside line, only on the 'Fish.

This board is by far the most underrated speedboard on the market. It's surpassed all of my expectations. However (for me) there was a huge learning curve. My riding style changed drastically, and for the better if i do say so myself. I changed from a brazilian tuck to a euro/american mix and the smoothcut has allowed me to learn to drift with precision. Pick it up if your a fan of drop through
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 3 months
What is your setup like?: Flipped grizzlies, venom barrels/stock pumpkins, swiss labyrinth bearings, 83mmflys/81mm s9 rf75mm inheats
Typical Session Discipline: DH, Drifting, slides
How much did you pay?: $380
Where did you purchase it?: TLS
What were the strengths of the deck.: Super versatile! With the grizzlies all you have to do is change bushing setups and it will do what you want. A little dampening flex(180lbs), not so much of a concave but more like grip inducing edges(feels great)
Great construction. First day out i busted it into a curb at around 20 0r 25mph with only a small dnet to show for it.

What were the weaknesses?: ummmm i guess it doesnt fit my crails through the drop mounting. No big deal
Similar decks you have ridden?: s9 Kommi
Would you recommend it?: Yes

Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: A few months
What is your setup like?: Crails w/ black jimz all around, lemon bigzigs
Typical Session Discipline: DH
How much did you pay?: 145 for deck, 300 for complete
Where did you purchase it?: direct from kebbek
What were the strengths of the deck.: nice solid 9 plies, a slight dampening flex that kills some minor imperfections in the road. the concave is amazing, just like a revenger, but doesnt come up as far.
What were the weaknesses?: i had modify the cutouts to fit my crails, its got a bit long wheelbase
Similar decks you have ridden?: kebbek revenger, ranye avenger, landyachtz evo, landyachtz dhr, rayne hellcat, ranye demonseed
Would you recommend it?: Yes

Awesome Board!
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 1 year
What is your setup like?: 50* baseplate in front, 30* in back with randal 180 hangars. 83mm flywheels
Typical Session Discipline: Downhill
What were the strengths of the deck.: Solid deck, like all Kebbeks, it has a slight flex, not exactly "rock solid". Awesome shape, good foot placement, drop-through holes and mounting holes were dead-on, durable, 8 ply.
What were the weaknesses?: slight flex, a little long for really technical runs
Similar decks you have ridden?: Never Summer DH, Bassi Haller pro smoothcut, Rayne Hellcat, Street Missle, WeFunk speedbone, Kebbek Jimz
Would you recommend it?: Yes
Was this review helpful to you? yes     no
