Michael Stefaun's new Pro Deck from Pool Kings is bringing the bling! Look at that thing! Click it to visit the site. Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well. |

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: A monthWhat is your setup like?: Gullwing Chargers, 75mm 72a Sector Nine wheels, Abec 3 bearings (Cheep stuff till my online order comes in)Typical Session Discipline: CarvingHow much did you pay?: 200$ishWhere did you purchase it?: Online/ZumiesWhat were the strengths of the deck.: Compared to friends boards (Some sector nine pintail topmount) it feels 100% more stable and still carves better. At first I had it top mounted and then changed it to the drop through mount, did not lose any turning at all, felt more stable and let me pump harder. Also I can still carve just as well while going fast. What were the weaknesses?: The bord is thicker (9ply) has almost no flex or giveSimilar decks you have ridden?: NoneWould you recommend it?:
Yes

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: About 3 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Battle Axe, 9" Gullwing Chargers, 66mm Retro Zig-Zags, Bone Swiss Labyrinth Bearings.Typical Session Discipline: Downhill carving, flatland cruising, Downhill slaloming (Parking Garage Sessions)How much did you pay?: 130$Where did you purchase it?: The Sonoma Longboard StoreWhat were the strengths of the deck.: The concave deck makes for really good downhill carving, and the thickness supports you well when going down hills. It is supposed to be low to the ground, but i bought chargers instead of the regular bear trucks so i had to jack mine up, but pumping is still a dream. What were the weaknesses?: Its a little cumbersome when you first get the deck but after you work the bushings in, and get used to the way the deck moves it carves fine.Similar decks you have ridden?: Nothing else.Would you recommend it?:
Yes
