Michael Stefaun's new Pro Deck from Pool Kings is bringing the bling!  Look at that thing!  Click it to visit the site.

Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well.

The board is my speed carver of choice and is the perfect size (36") for garage bombing. It excels in garages where you would have less fun carving a DH setup or a bigger Speed Carver.

The deck shape was designed for radiused wheels I believe now after skating it for a few months and that is what I primarily run on it now.

To give you an Idea of my perspective I am not a Downhiller. I like to carve as hard and as fast as possible and the Drop Hammer is a great board for that. While most Speed carving set ups are top mounts because you get better leverage on the deck, The drop through on this deck gets you lower to the ground for stability at speed. While that makes the deck considerably less lively than true carvers It adds much more comfort at high speed. (if you have ever tried to hard carve a true DH rig you know that dead feeling).

I think what Landy was trying to do was add real speed to a short deck that you can carve anywhere. They pulled it off and it is a worthy addition to any quiver because of it!

To address the comments above about the cracking. I am a big guy 200 lbs and have ridden it for months without problem.

This is a pretty piece of junk. It broke down the center after 4 days of commuting. If you plan to ride your a skate board do not buy this piece of crap! You will break it and get stiffed by landyachtz. They got my money and laughed all the way to the bank for selling me a defective deck.

Why do you expect me to stand "on" something that landyachtz will not even stand behind!!!
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 4 Days
What is your setup like?: Grizzly 852's, Bennett Alligators 71mm 80a, Bones Reds
Typical Session Discipline: commuter, carve
How much did you pay?: 117 deck only
Where did you purchase it?: The Long Board Store
What were the strengths of the deck.: Looks cool nice and wide
What were the weaknesses?: Broke after 4 days of to and from class/work. No hard skating, no DH, no hard carving, just to and from work. The company was unwilling to assist me in any way to replace the defective deck!
Similar decks you have ridden?: None. this is a pretty piece of crap. Don't ride it if you want to keep it. If you are a poser that wants to look cool with a skateboard in hand and never ride buy this pretty piece of junk!!!
Would you recommend it?: No
