Newsflash

Ian Tilmann died after crashing out on a fun longboard run in Florida. Ian wasn't wearing a lid and never regained consciousness.  We lost a brother.

WHICH DANCER FLEX TO GET?

The flex chart says,

FLEX 2 (100-170+)

FLEX 1 (160-230+)

If you weight falls between 160-170 lbs and you are really going to ride hard, do a lot of body varials and big jumps you want the FLEX 1. It will function better with your riding style and will have a less risk of bottoming out.

If you are lighter than 160 and you are going to be skating super hard the Flex 2 will work but if you prefer a stiffer ride with hardly any flex then get the Flex 1.

UNIQUE FEATURES

● 55” X 9" with a 40” wheelbase.

● Pressed with 100% natural linen using a high performance, non-toxic epoxy resin.

● Small nose and tail curvatures to lock your feet in.

● Nominal camber to keep the board damp and stable.

● Adam C. original monster artwork top and bottom.

● Bubbled bottom texture for finish and durability.

● Functional wheel wells.

● Different color linens are used at random to keep you on your toes.

WHAT IS THE DANCER FLEX LIKE?

The dancer does not have a trampoline like flex. It has a damp flex that enables you to have a very comfortable ride while still being able to do boardwalking and manual moves with ease and comfort.

HOW DOES THE BOARD BREAK IN?

With heavy use, the dancer will become slightly softer over time. However, it will not be a dramatic change. The board is pressed with a small amount of camber to help prevent dramatic sagging.

DO I NEED A RISER?

We recommend using the Paris trucks along with their standard 1/8" risers. The risers help absorb some of the shock and vibrations, work with the wheel wells, and provide more wheel clearance.

SPRAY GRIP

The dancer comes with a clear spray grip, which works very well. Once the spray grip wears off it is a good idea to add black magic griptape--especially on the nose and tail of the board were grip is most crucial.

MONSTERS

The Dancer is pressed with Adam Colton’s original monster artwork. The monsters will scare away bad energy and make rough roads turn into smooth butter pavement. They like to eat chocolate covered raisins.

WHY DOES THE DANCER COST SO MUCH?

● The dancer is made using 2 thick bamboo cores. Bamboo is not cheap.

● The dancer is pressed with 100% natural linen, which is a lot friendlier for the environment but costs more than the traditional fiberglass.

● The cure time for the dancer in the press is 3 times that of a Dervish, so building costs are more expensive.

● It's a big board, so it requires the use of more epoxy and a lot more time to finish the edges.

ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?

Make sure to feed the monsters and wrap the Dancer in a warm blanket at night and tell it a 5 minute bedtime story. Practice makes perfect, ENJOY.

Great board for learning to dance and heavy duty dancing
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: About two months
What is your setup like?: Paris 180's, Potang In Heats, Bone Swiss Bearings
Typical Session Discipline: Dancing
How much did you pay?: 325 USD
Where did you purchase it?: The InterWebs
What were the strengths of the deck.: You can dance the crap out of it, when you bomb hills you can usually beat your friends to the bottom because of its wight and ability to pick up speed, it won't break no matter how much weight you pt on it
What were the weaknesses?: Difficult to push around town because if its weight, cant make a lot of tight turns due to its length, won't fit in the trunks of some cars
Similar decks you have ridden?: Longboard Larry Old School Dancer
Would you recommend it?: Yes

The Dancer is truly an amazing board. It's an intimidating board and it is NOT for beginners at all. The weight of this board will kill your calves when pivoting, shovit-ing, and during manuals. If you're an experienced rider you'll fall in love with this board............
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 2-3 weeks
What is your setup like?: Dancer Flex 2, Paris 180s, purple otang stimulus wheels, reds
Typical Session Discipline: heavy dancing
How much did you pay?: $360
Where did you purchase it?: Stalefish Board Co.
What were the strengths of the deck.: Its large flat surface is amazing for walking. The nose and the tail kicks are just right for smooth manuals. The flex is perfect for both heavy dancing/freeriding, as well as cruising around town.
What were the weaknesses?: when I had first bought it, it was a real leg workout because of its weight, but I quickly grew out of that.
Similar decks you have ridden?: none like this

Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: coming up on half a year
What is your setup like?: flex 1 deck
paris 180s
otang stimulus 86a

Typical Session Discipline: cruising, carving, bombing some local hills
How much did you pay?: $237 for the deck, dont remember for everything else
Where did you purchase it?: Daddiesboardshop.com
What were the strengths of the deck.: good flex, not rock hard but flexy enough to absorb shock, holds up through hard riding, and makes your dancing look even sexier. nose/tail are perfect for manuals and shovits. very stable for a board thats not made for speed.
What were the weaknesses?: expensive. took a chunk out of my bank account. it was worth it though. a bit heavy but who cares.
