probably one of the most fun boards i've ever ridden. its cheap, beautiful, and hand made. larry is an awesome dude and made sure the board was functional before he sent it out to me. (the first two that were tested cracked) very good all around kind of board, great for a cruise, commute to work, pretty stable at higher speeds, and slideable for the most part. great fun.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: probly about 2 weeks or so
What is your setup like?: 28" bamboo humu with 85mm trackers with orange khiro barrel bottoms and blue khiro tops. 66m orange zig zags and black panther abec7s with spacers. khiro angled rail risers.
Typical Session Discipline: cruising, freeride, mild downhill
How much did you pay?: only 160 which is pretty awesome for a complete custom.
Where did you purchase it?: larry himself.
What were the strengths of the deck.: super agile with the setup i currently have. (i had 60mm 88a NoSkoolz on it but those were horrible in my opinion) with the zigs it just felt right. turns on a dime, and pumpable. pretty damn stable at speed for such a mini, even with loose trucks. larry's craftsmanship is amazing.
What were the weaknesses?: its beautiful. a weakness because its hard seeing it get thrashed. other than that it just took a really long time to arrive (4 weeks) and it was torture. but larry made 3 versions of my board the first two of which cracked when they were tested. third one was a charm.
Similar decks you have ridden?: first mini ive ever ridden and i think it will be my only one.
Would you recommend it?: Yes

I'd say it's the best mini ever, great for takin around town because it's not a hassle to carry.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 7 months?
What is your setup like?: 26" deck, 85mm trackers, abec 5 pleasure tools (yes, they are tools) and tunnel rock wheels.
Typical Session Discipline: cruising, dancing, moderate dh
How much did you pay?: about 210, 40 bucks on customs and 25 on shipping
Where did you purchase it?: longboardlarry.net
What were the strengths of the deck.: an amazing little cruiser, and surprisingly good at hills
What were the weaknesses?: it can get beat up pretty bad, the ride doesn't degrade, just the look.
Similar decks you have ridden?: Larry's Coho, i prefer the Humu.

awesome board. if you are looking for a good mini, this is the board to get. i suggest the clear grip. I use this more than my actual longboard. buy one.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: little over 1 month
What is your setup like?: 24" deck, clear grip, tunnel rocks, abec 5 bearings, 85mm Tracker midtrack darts
Typical Session Discipline: transportation, cruising, carving, bombing moderate hills
How much did you pay?: 161 - that includes shipping ( 136 for complete board, excluding shipping)
Where did you purchase it?: www.longboardlarry.net
What were the strengths of the deck.: very light, rocker gives awesome feel, can get to very high speeds with this little thing
What were the weaknesses?: gets chipped pretty easy... though most boards do
Similar decks you have ridden?: sector 9 minis... closest thing i have ridden.

the first and only mini i would ever want to buy. but then again, i won it so...
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: only had it for about a week
What is your setup like?: at the moment -5 106 rt-s/flat 1/4in 4.3 bennet front, 62/78 alligators
Typical Session Discipline: messing around parking lots and such
How much did you pay?: nothing at all
What were the strengths of the deck.: the unique feel of the rocker and convex
What were the weaknesses?: the convex gives no facking leverage, so you have to run your trucks almost sloppy loose
Would you recommend it?: Yes

I was so excited when I got this board, and even happier that Larry sent me another board so quickly after the first one cracked. The ride is super smooth and stable and will be even better with wider wheels I think. I would suggest getting the clear grip tape. It makes the board grippier than the sand mixture you can get. If you meet me, I'll let you ride it a bit.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 4 months
What is your setup like?: First bamboo 22" HUMU Tracker midtrack 85mm trucks, Abec 5 bearings, steel spacers, Abec 11 bertz wheels, 1/4" risers.
Typical Session Discipline: any trip involving any pumping at all
How much did you pay?: ~$130
Where did you purchase it?: from larry's workshop! (i'm in portland, he's in salem)
What were the strengths of the deck.: This board is so tight and yet very stable. Since I just started skating again, I can carve a lot of hills that I wouldn't try on my 43" Zion cruiser from Eastside Longboards (PDX woot!) Then again, I haven't tried it in parking garages yet.
What were the weaknesses?: The first version of this deck cracked to the left of the front truck. I called Larry up and I had a new one in less than a week! He is very nice and his boards have a great guarantee.
Similar decks you have ridden?: The OG birch model that Billy the Kid rides. It feels a little more stable but that might be because the tunnel rocks are wider than the bertz. The bamboo HUMU is significantly lighter and has just a smidge more flex than the birch HUMU.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
