Width: 8.75”
Deck Specifics: Concave
Deck Shape: Blunt
Appropriate Discipline: Cruising • Carving
Website: http://www.neversummer.com/longboards.php
Deck Materials: arbon fiber, rubber damping, and composite materials
A cambered, concave carving board with a solid flex pattern and long wheel base. Carbon fiber, rubber damping, and composite materials give the Norad unmatched ride and response. The flex of the Norad means a tighter turning radius and increased energy in and out of the turns. This model will be available in 38" & 40" lengths.

Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: going on 4 months
What is your setup like?: Holey Trucks w/ Smokies3dm Avila 75mm 77a WheelsNitro Ceramic Bearings
Typical Session Discipline: Skating around campus, carving hills
How much did you pay?: $110 for deck
Where did you purchase it?: All Boards Sports - Boulder, CO
What were the strengths of the deck.: Very responsive, stable, smooth, and all around fun! Hard plastic nose and tail insert (as part of the lamination process) is excellent for durability: no split noses. The deck seems to provide a very smooth ride, probably from the rubber damping inserts. It seems like Neversummer really does their homework as far as the composite materials that they use in their laminations (carbon fiber & 2 types of fiberglass), and it shows in the ride. I love the size of the board at 38"; it's really stable but still quick in turns (although Holey trucks really help with that too, I'd recommend them as well - 180mm w/ Smokies bushings), and wide enough to really press hard into turns with a perfect kicktail to lock in the back foot (or obviously for kickturns). As far as flex I'd say there's just enough to makes it useful in pumping/carving but not too much to where it causes wasted energy (I'm about 150 lbs.).
What were the weaknesses?: I really can't think of anything negative to say about this board, at least for my purposes. It's not a tiny quick board, but it definitely carves, and the minimal sacrifices in agility are more than made up for by the awesome stability afforded by a wide wheelbase. Like I said, get the Holey trucks with this deck and you'll have no complaints once you try it out carving a big hill.
Similar decks you have ridden?: My last (and first) deck was a Sector 9 of almost the exact same proportions as the Norad. It was flexier than this deck, but besides that I can't even compare the two. The Norad just feels SO much more responsive, stable, and quick than that deck ever was. It was great as a beginner's deck while I was learning (and before I got into the components), but this deck is far above the S9 as far as I'm concerned.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
