Michael Stefaun's new Pro Deck from Pool Kings is bringing the bling! Look at that thing! Click it to visit the site. Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well. |

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 2 weeksWhat is your setup like?: randal 180s with the back flipped on a dh plate, 85mm orange hawgs.Typical Session Discipline: freeride dhHow much did you pay?: 153Where did you purchase it?: blackdiamond sportsWhat were the strengths of the deck.: super stable. the consistent width makes it easier to stand on when riding out of a slide. it is (at least for me) the perfect size, i noticed it was shorter than most boards, but the platform is prime. with the short size of the board, it turns quicker (or seems to)What were the weaknesses?: mounting holes were a little off, but it was fine. scratches easily. i havent crashed it seriously (yet) but the curbs that i have run it into havent been a problem.Similar decks you have ridden?: chicago elenorWould you recommend it?:
Yes

Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: couple of weeksWhat is your setup like?: 10mm bear grizzles, 10mm ceramics, 3dm 85mm speed ventsTypical Session Discipline: carving, downhillHow much did you pay?: 290Where did you purchase it?: daddies board shopWhat were the strengths of the deck.: It is extremely stable while the turning capability is amazing, the large platform and tons of concave makes you feel locked in.What were the weaknesses?: the flush mounting was too narrow to fit most trucks and I had to hand chisel the side just to slip in my bears, and once I got them in and started bolting them the flush mount started cracking in multiple places.Similar decks you have ridden?: Demon seed, Evo, DH race, Dervish.Would you recommend it?:
Yes
