this is really more of the rider here. i cant make a firm desicion to reccommend them since it would seem that they benefit me and they could really be trouble to someone else. id say get more info before buying.

Typical Discepline?: downhill
How much did you pay for them?: $210
Where did you buy them?: Daddies
What are their weaknesses?: really heavy, and the maintenance is a real pain. also when you start to slide its hard to control cuz they weigh so much. but im a light rider so i think its just me.
What are their strengths?: really stable
What similar equipment have you ridden?: none. the comp 2 is one of its kind.

As is typical of Randals, some excess aluminum on the hanger. With a little grinder, got all that right off.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 3 Years
What Setup are you running them on?: Now running them on a LBL Screamin' Mary, was riding them on a Landy DH Race. Using Monster Hawgs at the moment. 35 degree baseplate with 10mm axles.
Typical Discepline?: High Speed Bombin'
How much did you pay for them?: 240
Where did you buy them?: Randal.com
What are their weaknesses?: None, except for the difficulty of doing ANYTHING to them. Seems like it's impossible to take them apart.
What are their strengths?: Everything except for easy of use. They are super stable and one time I had a bearing sieze on me and the wheel just kept spinning, thanks to the floating axle. Another thing, thanks to the floating axle, is that they have super low rolling resistance on the bearings so they spin forever and super fast. Another thing is that they are extremely versatile with any other Randal products. Overall, awesome.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: Nothing with a floating axle...so nothing.
Would you recommend them?: Yes

i have the 186mm compIIs 10mm axle, i have never bent an axle (i wheigh 170) and i thrash them prety hard. i love these trucks, the only downside is how close the hanger is to the ground because of the bearings so i trip out about hitting stuff in the road (like reflectors) but i ride 70mm wheels. and they sound sweet when you are going really fast because you can hear the axle spinning.

I highly recommend these trucks, but only if you want a way stable ride. I am running them with double barrel new comp bushings. The beauty of Randal trucks (imo) is the fact that everything is interchangeable so with some patience you can set them up how you want them to feel. Believe me, i tried all kinds of stuff and after months of switching hit on this set up. I am sure that with diff bushings and baseplate angles i could get them to feel completely different. This is my bomber board and i have broken 50mph on it and felt very secure. At least with the trucks-lol. I know that randal had dropped the ball in the past with quality, quality does not seem to be an issue with them anymore. I have a skateshop and all the randals I have gotten are superb.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 2 months
What Setup are you running them on?: hellcat
186 mm hanger
50 front baseplate - flipped hanger
42 back baseplate

Typical Discepline?: dh
How much did you pay for them?: $160
Where did you buy them?: got a connection
What are their weaknesses?: perhaps could be easier to change wheels-but who cares. They are worth it.
Require 4 extra bearings inside axle which equals additional cost.

What are their strengths?: VERY stable, very versatile with randal's options of flipping and baseplate angles. Freefloating axle in case a bearing seizes, or so they say.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: randal r2 but these are more stable
Would you recommend them?: Yes
