not worth spending $200 for them.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 1 year
What Setup are you running them on?: Rayne avenger and i switch between Gumballs 81 and flywheels 78mm 81a
Typical Discepline?: speedboarding
How much did you pay for them?: 160
Where did you buy them?: bikefactory
What are their weaknesses?: I think they couldn't improve on the standards of how the aluminum is cast. I work at a longboarding shop so I get my hands on a lot of trucks and I?ve noticed from randal that in a lot of their trucks the pivot cup and the hole for the kingpin don?t line up. There is always surplus aluminum on the hangers, and the part of the hanger that goes in the pivot cup isn?t perfectly round. Okay! So the problem with the floating axle is that, you can?t tighten your wheels properly. Bearings go in the hanger to hold the axel, but there isn?t a spacer in the hanger between the bearings. Therefore when you tighten the wheels properly, you compress the bearings in the hanger and the axle doesn?t spin at all. But if you?re fine with your wheels being able to move left to right on the axle, to allow the axle to spin on it?s own then you all good.
What are their strengths?: allow rider to reach a higher speeds with the floating axle design.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: a lot of trucks,(bears, crail, force, R-II) but none of them have floating axles... soooo i'm not sure if it counts as similar.
Would you recommend them?: No

I hear that the axle likes to bend after hard use. After it bends the slightest bit, it does not spin. It would still spin though if a bearing locked up though. floated axles seem like a safety device more than anything.
