excellent wheel for a beginner...don't listen to the guys that trash these wheels, get some to learn the basics, and once you've killed them move onward and upward!
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: over a year
What Setup are you running them on?: homebuilt board, old-gen randals
Typical Discepline?: cruising
How much did you pay for them?: got as a gift!
What are their weaknesses?: you're limited because of the 8mm core...they're slow for an experienced rider, but for a new guy, they're absolutely great!
What are their strengths?: They wear awesomely just cruising around...takes but a few slides to break in properly, and they ride quite smooth.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: aqua hawgs, pink powerballs, flywheels
Would you recommend them?: Yes

i would only reccomend them to a beginner who is short on cash. it is worth the mony to invest in other higher quality wheels
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: about 2 months
What Setup are you running them on?: 80mm 80a classics on a dropdown with 180 randalls and ceramics
Typical Discepline?: downhill, dallas garages
How much did you pay for them?: came on a $100 compleete
Where did you buy them?: ebay
What are their weaknesses?: not as grippy as other wheels, you often accedentally slide out around corners (especially in garages because of the slick ground) and they easily get flatspots. they feel sluggish compared to alligators and nineballs
What are their strengths?: they are super fast down hill, they are cheap, they ride verry smooth, and they are super drifty.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: abec 11 flywheels, sector nine 9balls, bennett alligators
Would you recommend them?: Undecided

These are the driftiest wheels I have tried. Definitely driftier then any wheels on the market for donwhill right now.
It really is a shame that they stopped making these wheels in this formula

Typical Discepline?: dh/freeride
How much did you pay for them?: 50 bucks
Where did you buy them?: my friend
What are their weaknesses?: it will be hard to get them again
What are their strengths?: super smooth drift. driftier than fly's and any other wheel on the market.

These are actually a really good wheel despite everyone knocking them. They are big so they roll well over cracks in the tiles and fart stones. They are narrow (comparatively) so less rolling resistance - this kinda means that pushing isn't so much more laboured than with a 70-75mm wheel. They are suitable hard to allow you to slide- not as easy as a smaller wheel obviously, but they are a good shape for this too with the rounded edges, and they last for ages. They need broken in properly cause the mold skin is super shiny and not nice for the first couple weeks.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 6 years
What Setup are you running them on?: Summit Dragon 101cm. Randal RII 180mm. Reds. That's it.
Typical Discepline?: This setup has been everywhere.
How much did you pay for them?: £35
Where did you buy them?: Boardwise Glasgow
What are their weaknesses?: I can't complain about them. After two sets(first set still in operation) and 6 years, they have done well.
What are their strengths?: Grippy when broken in. Durable. and cheap for their size.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: Flywheels.
Would you recommend them?: Yes

the older opaque ones are/were fantastic. sure, there are horror stories of kryptos falling off the core, the thane blowing up or melting, and even melted/deformed cores. but for those who have drifted a krypto ever underestand why all that was worth it... or they were just cheap and wouldnt feel bad thrashing a set of wheels in just a few sessions...
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 5 years
What Setup are you running them on?: 06 rayne hellcat, r2 180 front, dh plate/180 rear, 80/80 or 76/83 krypts.
Typical Discepline?: dh
What are their weaknesses?: they have pesky quality control issues. its a crapshoot with the duros, and they sometimes like to seperate from the core. and the newer ones feel mushy as hell.
What are their strengths?: sweet mother of drift!
Would you recommend them?: Yes
