Not all skate shirts are black!   Check out the Silverfish Gear Page .  There are new men's, women's and kids' shirts!  (Some are even black.)

We're using "spreadshirt", so you order straight from them.  Dig through the listings and you'll find some classic 'Fish designs, including shirts with art taken from member Ryan's art-pen drawings.  Have an idea for a shirt?  Send it in!

March 21, 2006.

The IGSA regrets to announce that the 2006 Almabtrieb World Championship event has been cancelled. We have received information from the road department that a resurfacing project of the entire road will not be completed by June 31st as had originally been scheduled. The road work will not be finished until late July forcing the cancellation of the event.

With the cancellation of the Almabtrieb event, the IGSA World Championships will move to the COASH event in Scheid, Switzerland and held July 17-22. The six day event will be contested on a very technical course that is ideal for the World Championships. Organizers Clemens Bartlome and Samy Canteini have been hard at work on this event for many months. It promises to be the highlight of the 2006 season.

The third round of the2006 IGSA California Downhill Championship Series will be Saturday, March 25th, at Frank G. Bonelli Park in San Dimas, California. If you're in SoCal, or even if you're not, come on out to watch great racing in all the gravity classes! The race will be on the "Val Verde Course" used in Round One.

The Val Verde Course is a high-speed run, and the news is out: Team Rayne is coming down from Vancouver to give the Californians a run for the money in Standup! Can anyone stop the Rogers Bros domination of DH? Will Wendtland repeat on Luge, or will Merkler come back for revenge on skates? Can anyone catch Judith Rogers in the Women's DH?

The second California Downhill Series event of the 2006 IGSA season was held last Saturday, Feb. 25th, on a beautiful, warm and Sunny Southern California day. We rolled into the Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park to watch competitors race head-to-head in Downhill Skateboarding, Street Luge, Gravity Bike, Inline Downhill and Classic Luge. This edition of the series used the “Raging Waters course", which proved to be well-set for spectators.

When it was all over, sponsors GFHurley Longboards, Garland Restoration, Abec 11 Wheels, One West Clothing, Verizon, No Fuel Racing and Hyper Wheels could chalk-up another day of exciting racing, and the racers were already talking about the next round of the series. Click through for our coverage.
