Once upon a time, on the forum known as Silverfish Longboarding there was a thread which offered you a chance to win, win a longboard. I followed the instructions to win this longboard, after skeptically completing these instructions I forgot about the board, until…. . A couple days after entering I received an email saying I had won! I had never expected to win such a beautiful longboard or anything for that matter, but anyway, I then gave my address and all the other information to Sir Julian Nicks of Chicago Longboards. I then forgot about the longboard a few days later, my brain must have told me it was too good to be true.
Sinema Skates developed quite a following in SoCal before they closed shop and packed up to the far-away lands famous for hobbits and “Dead Alive”. One of the last things they did before they left was to send out a “Cruiser” drop-through board. Now, it may be an oxymoron to combine those two things, but Sinema being heavy on the DH were sure to make it very obvious that this deck was not their speedboard. This will be a weird review of a somewhat unique board that I came into possession of through the strangest of circumstances. I’m writing it only because I feel the denizens of the ‘fish will appreciate knowing about yet another longboard in the many that we review and document for you. So here are my impressions of the Dregs Maggie complete that I’ve ridden over the past few months.
Phat Cruize Boards, versatile and capable carvers. In this review we check out two of this local companies decks. Phat Cruize a re-emergent longboard company is looking to head into the foray with a capable lineup and striking hometown art.
