It is a bright and exciting time for all of us in this new era of skateboarding! As of Friday, October 23, Colabo.ca would like to welcome you to their fresh and new horizon and new website www.colabo.ca . Trailing back to the initial creation of the many non-profit longboarding videos and the synergy of Team Colabo, their passion and experience has rapidly grown to a point where they can further there innovative efforts through new COLABOrations. Through the past year they have successfully been able to complete their first official feature length longboard film, The Fellowship of the Bearing, which was captured completely in HD and funded on heart and determination.
Brianne Davies is the leading women’s longboarder in the world – she is simply unstoppable. She has dominated women’s speedboard racing three years in a row. Brianne has won 1st place in five different countries, was the 2008 IGSA World Champion and earned the title of Speed Boarder of the Year by Concrete Wave. Now she has a board to call her own.

Flexdex TV releases Episode 5, “Will it Break?: Italian Redux.” Maz Ahmadpour and Stephan Reinhardt star in the latest installment of the hit online show. Flexdex is gearing up for an entire season of episodes including, “Will it Burn?,” “Will it Explode?,” and “Will it Survive 2012?” with guest appearances from various members of the skate community.
The shows will not only highlight the strength of Flexdex’s patented material but also chronicle the exploits of Maz and Stephan as they skate around San Diego and embrace their adolescent fantasies. Expect to see more Blacks Beach footage as well as some San Diego secret spots and some of the more picturesque destinations in the county.
The DVD you are holding in your hands gives you a unique perspective as to what is taking place in skateboarding right now. Our goals at Concrete Wave Magazine are pretty simple: Firstly, we want to showcase a wide variety of skateboarding. We believe the other skate mags, videos and websites do a great job of covering street and a little bit of vert, but there is so much more else going on out there! Concrete Wave also wants to encourage a wide variety of people to get involved, like the stoked community at Silverfish Longboarding supports! This means we want to see more female skaters, older skaters and those folks who would never try skateboarding because they felt it was too difficult. We also want to encourage former skaters to come back to skateboarding. We know the stoke that you get from skateboarding is something truly magical.
