Ian Tilmann died after crashing out on a fun longboard run in Florida. Ian wasn't wearing a lid and never regained consciousness. We lost a brother.
The Ian Tilmann Foundation created the Helmet for a Promise program, where people are able to pledge to always wear a helmet and the foundation will provide one at no cost. Click the logo or the text.
In one month, we received 60 video entries from all over the world including Sweden, Norway, Spain, Australia and Puerto Rico for the first Motion Boardshop Video Contest . We’ve seen gnarly hills, crazy butt board bashes, turn tables out of grip tape, face plants on a quarter pipe, and a ton of shredding.
We’ve also seen proof that longboarding changes lives – don’t hate! You know its changed yours.
“Now I am skating every where, lending local kids boards and safety gear, cleaning out local trail so bikers and longboards can go down fast without slipping on rocks and pine needles and over all I’m a much happier person who is stoked to be able to enjoy the sport and watch it grow.”
One of the entry criteria was to let us know what your favorite trick is. This was the best response we got:
It’s been a busy summer!! We’ve been working so hard at keeping up with demand and getting to events that we haven’t been spending nearly enough time making Eh Team videos.
Our last episode featured our Young Guns, Fernando Yuppie and Wolf Coleman. Blake took them out in the Eh Team van for a skate after school got out.
This time we’ve taken a slightly different approach, focusing on two of our in house heavy hitters, Adam Yates and Dillion Stephens. They are both major parts of the Eh Team and huge parts of production here at the shop.

Crys Worley can change her own oil, thanks very much. She can turn brake drums, too. Look in her backyard and you’ll find a twenty foot half-pipe, most of which she built with her own hands. All this stems from growing up a tomboy in Alabama and having a fascination with fixing things. After spending countless hours tinkering with her family’s assortment of broken computers, she attended Jacksonville State University to study Computer Science. Crys is nothing if not resourceful--if she doesn’t know how to do something, she figures it out. Her ability to fix things for herself has instilled a sense of self-reliance. But all of her abilities were tested after the birth of her first child.
A single mom, Crys has two children--Fallon, five and Sasha, seven. When Sasha was two years old, he was diagnosed with autism. Autism is a severe developmental disability that affects speech and social interaction. Children with autism often cannot communicate or relate to others socially.
The Orangatang crew has unleashed the 4 President and In Heat wheels in their 86a yellow formula. With offset hubs and sharp lips, these wheels are designed to maintain speed and grip. Combining race-style shapes with a harder durometer yields a wheel that not only rolls fast and sticks lines but also releases into an exceptionally smooth and controllable drift. While these wheels excel at downhill and freeriding, their long and predictable slides lend them to freestyle and all-around riding.
Yellow 4 Presidents and In Heats will be available September 3rd at select shops worldwide.
