You've heard about the legendary Maryhill Road, right? It's mile after mile of perfect pavement, on a closed road in Washington State. The scene of many a bombing run, several bigtime races and popular for "destination skating", it was the location of choice for a big group of locals and Coast Longboarding skaters. David Price reports, with photos by Jon Huey:

"With all the rain and cold weather this winter in the Northwest, it was time for the longboarders to come out and play in the brief periods of dryness. The Maryhill Ratz and the Coast Longboarding crew put together an epic session on the perfect run: Maryhill. We hosted over 60 riders, coming to Washington state from all over the Pacific Northwest and Canada including Salem, Spokane, Seattle, Olympia, Vancouver BC and even as far away as Calgary Alberta, (a 12 hour drive each way), and converged on the Historic Maryhill Loops Road for the First Annual F@*k the Rain Tour."

Here’s a submission from the newest Texas Outlaw, Chris Doan. Known on the ‘Fish as GorillaBiscuits, Chris went on down to race slalom and to report on the Texas Outlaws’ Cold Fusion Sizzler for Silverfish Longboarding. He uncovered several conspiracies, a plot and more…but this is about the racing! Here’s GB’s report:

The Texas Outlaws put on a killer weekend of racing! On February 25th & 26th, racers of all ages came from coast to coast to race in the South. With over 50 skaters registered to race, including big names like Eddie Martinez, Gumby, Wes Tucker, Greg Fadell, Claude Regnier, Todd Oles, Richy Carrasco and Chris Chaput, it promised to be fast, competitive racing. I was actually sorta nervous about coming down to race with these guys, but my apprehension proved misplaced. The Outlaws put on a great event, and I’m only sorry you all couldn’t have come on down!

On February 19th, our friends at Purple Skunk in San Francisco put on a Skate Jam with SK8KINGS. It went off really big. Here’s a report from our guest correspondent, Maria Carrasco.

"Richy and I packed our bags in the O.C. and headed to the City by the Bay to have a skate shindig with our northern California pals. We landed in town on Friday and were greeted by a ton of rain and freezing temperatures! We tried to stay positive that, by Sunday, the clouds would clear and the sun would be out and we were not disappointed."
