I was planning to come but Fri is my friends Bday and I gotta be there for the nights festivaties. He's still young enough to think birthdays are a good thing. He just had a kid so I'm sure the big birthday bash thing will end soon. Anyhow I was thinking of just coming down on Sun for Hobby hill. I've never slalomed before but I'd like to meet some folks, maybe take a run or 2 and bomb the hill with the crew.
Any objections?

While everyone will be welcoming and glad you came out, I would not count on throwing a couple runs down Hobby Hill in W/S (Friday Night's outlaw race would be your only chance for that). It's a world ranked contest with waivers, insurance, and US and world champions in attendance. That and plus you could die. Really.
It would be like showing up at the Indy 500 and asking to drive a couple laps.
Now, do you want to register and ride the DH? Completely different story. Email Karr@downhillbillies.org and tell him what you are up for.
Regardless, I hope you'll come see the finest racers in the world and the rest of us. It's not too far right? Ask for Joe I. I'll let you try some killer slalom gear and split a beer with you.
