I'm with you on most of these, except the one about not getting a home equity loan. Getting a small bussiness loan is like getting teeth pulled, and takes too long. If you have enough equity and can afford it, a home equity loan isn't all that bad. Most people get them to get out high credit card debt, so why not get one to better yourself instead?
