Default Thought I'd Mention this Contest...

There are a ton of contests out there...this one caught my attention...because it directly impacts the mag (winners get into ads) and the evolutions dvd...

GFH Boards is holding a “Mini Board Video Contest”. We are looking for everyone out there who has purchased and or had a chance to borrow and ride one of the GFH Mini Boards, the Pug, Pigme, or Twenty Seven. T

The format is easy; Show off your riding style. The most received question in regards to the GFH Mini’s is “how do you ride these things?”

Here is how it will work.
-Video can be edited and or raw footage, (you will not be penalized for raw footage whatsoever).
-Video must be no more than 3 minutes in length
-Video must be of at least one of its members riding a GFH Boards Mini.
-Video is to be uploaded to www.youtube.com with the title being
GFH Boards Mini Contest by______________________(name)
-You must email your youtube link to promotion@gfhboards.com
-We will accept video in DVD format sent to GFH Boards attn:
Promotions 6078 Corte Del Cedro Suite A Carlsbad CA 92011
(just make sure it is in by the deadline.)

Here is what you will get:
- GFH will choose the top 5 videos from all submissions which
will be considered “winners”

- All 5 “winners” will have a choice of any GFH Board which will be shipped for free to your door.

- Top 5 will also be used in the creation of the new GFH Boards Demo DVD which will be sent to shops world wide for in store promotional materials, (there MAY even be a sneak entry to the next Evolutions
DVD section of GFH)

The #1 selected video has a CHANCE to be invited to join the GFH Boards Skate team as well as have a CHANCE to be used in magazine ads in the future for GFH.

The contest starts October 21st. All entries must be received by GFH no later than
December 15th with all winners

That video is histerical! Why? because that's almost exactly the way we skated on the boards in the 70's. Now, when I get my retro boards out, I ride them the same way. The shuvit was a little sporty, but people were doing variations of them for sure then, as well other footwork moves. It is very reminiscent of when the RR4 style wheels gave way to the red Krypts, and you just rolled and rolled.

One of my favorites right now is a 23" aluminum double kick that will turn around in 3ft, no exageration. I play hockey on it, while my son plays on his skates.

Are a lot of the skaters that have been street skating, or vert skating, or whatever for the past 15-20 years finding something insanely different on the little short turny boards? When all the old guys are talking about "just riding", everyone is thinking about tricks or air, but when they get on one of these little turny boards, they just ride too. It is a total blast.

I dont have or need a GFH because I already have genuine oldies, but I cant wait to see these videos.

It's a really good vid. Some tech stuff, come boardwalking, some carving around skurf style. All around good vid. I love the song too.

It'd be a shame if he didn't get some sort of honorable mention at least. I mean...the skating is really good. Why not take the best 3 mins?

Check out this video, hope you can see it because it shows some skill on the pigme and the 27. And some serious speed
