I was watching skiing superpipe finals on the winter X-Games last night and caught a very, very interesting commercial. I was for some kind of new Jeep, not positive on the model. The Jeep was driving around a city with the camera panning around in all directions, all these street signs and pieces of junk just laying on the street fly up in the air after the car drives by... then they all swirl together like a tornado kind of and eventually form together to look like a big skater. The skater guy then starts riding the Jeep like it's a board, pushing down the city streets and carvin it up. He does a 180 hippie jump over a bridge but then at the end, he takes a corner and puts his hand down like he's sliding and his hand throws sparks everywhere. It was a pretty cool commercial and probably took a crapload of time to do all the 3d rendering. The people behind the commercial probably had to see some video of guys taking corners on longboards to figure out how to make the robotic trash guy look good while he put his hand down.
Anyone else see it? I did a quick search on Youtube but couldn't find it.
The corner at the end was really the only part that made me think of longboarding. Pretty cool commercial though. Any commercial involving skateboarding is fine by me
If it's the commercial I'm thinking of, I noticed the robot skates goofyfoot at first and then later (after the hippie jump?) he is skating regular foot. Or vice versa.
