Re: warning...if you read this thread, you gotta vote! Longboarding popularity poll
I know they're out there (because some of them post on this forum and by extrapolation there MUST be more) but out of a city of 4M people I have yet to 'run into' another longboarder. I met one thru a skateboarding group at uni but he doesn't count (exchange student from the US)

Slowly up in mass, me and my freinds are getting more people to join, its usually one new person a month but it counts as growth. When I went back to dallas, i thought I was the only longboarder in the city, cause it's so flat It would be hard to get into, but sure enough I saw a couple kids on S9 riding around, so I would have to say its growing.

I voted that longboarding is growing more popular in Winston Salem, because it's more popular with ME every day!!!!! Unfortunately, I don't know anyone else to ride with =( PM me if you live around here and want to get up!

The only people riding in my town are my close friends. Everyone else that skates, rides popsicles. There isn't much of a demand for a longboard in my area, since there is no real hills to take advantage of. Besides, the popsicle trend is deeply entrenched here. Most kids don't even want to try out a longboard.

Besides some old man who bought the local shop's last board, I'm the only one around here who's doing anything. I live in the city though, so I don't know if folks are hittin it up in the burbs (ghetto revival hallelujah holla back).

Eureka/Arcata, CA. We're starting to see Abec11 and Pink in a shop or two. Local board builders are comming out of the cracks and selling their stuff in headshops. I havent seen more people on boards, but its raining, and someone must be giving the local shops buisness because they keep getting new stock.
