Zenetti the automotive leader in wheel design has teamed up with Dominic DeLuca of the world famous skate shop & streetwear boutique; Brooklyn Projects; to form the wheel industries first ever official skate team. This is not your typical sponsorship scenario, where a company just giving a skateboarder a set of wheels, poses for a picture and you never hear about them again. This is an official skate team with a complete partnership, including magazine features, show appearances and advertising campaign. We have some of the top skate professionals in the world representing our brand and feel that our partnership will help elevate the industry and spark a new trend. Bwwwahahahahha! "class" ! Yeah man - sorta like Navin Johnson, in "the Jerk":
Well mom, remember my dream of owning a big house
on a hill and how I used to wish for a living room with a plaster
lion in it from Mexico and how I always wanted a large twenty
four seat dining table in a dining room with original oil
paintings by Michelangelo and Rembrandt and remember how I always
wanted a rotating bed with pink chiffon and zebra stripes and
remember how I used to chit chat with dad about always wanting a
bathtub shaped like a clam and an office with orange and white
stripes and remember how much I wanted an all red billiard room
with a giant stuffed camel and how I wanted a disco room with my
own disco dancers and a party room with fancy friends and
remember how much I wanted a big backyard with Grecian statues,
s-shaped hedges and three swimming pools? Well, I got that too.
A sellout is just someone who gets paid to do what they like to do. Y'all are just jealous nobody's giving you color-matched 26s for your sweet longboard dancing moves.

I'm not saying they are sell-outs. I'm saying the whole thing is comical.
Yah boy, there is no talk of "sellouts", just that these guys are lame. LAME! LAMERINO!
Well, there's no doubt those guys are all good skaters. I don't think its much more lame that being sponsored by Nestles Quik or whatever. I say make the money when you can.
I think I find the whole "wheel industry" sorta funny. I love it that they emphasize style and "class". It amuses me when I'm driving around and see some dirtbag driving a car worth maybe $1000 but he's got fancy wheels on it. Yeah man - I can't afford health insurance for my family, but I could afford these wheels!
Man, I just don't like the image that has been brought into skating recently. All this fresh clothes/shoes/cars/boards/whatever. Skating automatically causes you to be dirty and scruffy by its nature of falling on the ground etc. This 'bling bling' promotion makes people think they've gotta have the freshest this that and the other, whereas in reality, most of us really can't afford it. It'd be sick to see a skater in an ad with ripped clothes, big hole in their shoes from kicklfips etc and a smashed up board, cos they've been skating so goddammed hard!
Plus, I don't like cars and their evil polluting, running me over and turning drivers into assholes ways. Up with skating, down with cars!
