Here are a couple of the scenarios that stifle my stoke:
1) I try to stay away from skaters that are so fixated on tricks, that they actually rate terrain (bowls/parks, in this case) as being good or bad, simply because of their ability or lack of ability to their staple tricks. while this in and of itself does not stifle my stoke, the fact that a few of my closest skate pals fit into this category bums me out, and I bail out on sessions occassionally because of it.
2) family, careers, etc that take priority of skateboarding bring me down occasionally. Not because they out prioritize skateboarding (these items should out prioritize skating), but because it puts larger gaps between riding times and sessions. To maintain good ability, I have to ride very often now. I just dont get the opportunity as much as I want.

Re: who or what is stifling your skate stoke?
snow/ice, lack of other people's interest (i try to get them involved, i really do! they just don't take!), lack of hills with turns (heaven forbid skating anything other than a straight bomb), and skating the same ol' spots gets old after a while...give me new spots!
I wouldn't call it stoke stifling, but this whole team poser crap is getting a bit old. It was a nice joke/sig but I'm a little annoyed reading overly idiotic dervish remarks in every third thread. I get it, some people are stupid. You aren't helping,
Rant over.

umm...posers, tv ads and similar type of stuff. basically anything thats based on hype and skateboarding. You see them together lots of times, but they really #### me up... Oh and I think there was a post about recession? We'll get rid of all the posers.
the generic 10 year old popsicle riders that seem to inhabit every town of the U.s.a. All they do is kicklip with the occasional pop shuv-it and think theyre gods. Dont get me wrong i have respect for the guys who can actually do the tricks and know it but these kids think they own the whole neighborhood and have no respect. I ride by them and they decide to cut me off just for sh^ts and giggles. Theyre going to be upset when the leave there decks outside to grab lunch and find it gone when they get back, or maybe have some custom graphics on it.

Have you tried to get it back? That is theft on his part. He didn't have a right to take your property.
actually, my mom hasnt had the time to go to the school to get it back and i was riding it in the halls (like my dingy) the cop took it away but she retired and handed over to that bitch-ass security hag who bullies little kids because she can. why cant we get kevin back? he was a big black dude who old schooled powell and alvas and let us keep all our boards in his shed.
