Concrete Wave Buyers Guide 2008

Click the image to open in full size.

Here are all four covers of the buyers guide inside you will find an all new format of listing over 160 companies and gear with profiles, page after page of awesome, impressive and shreddable gear. All new companies and all new designes. Some you have never heard of and many companies you know well, dropping new goods for you to check out. This is the tome of skateboarding gear you need. We know you will be getting a copy with your subscription of Concrete Wave but we have it here for you to download in pdf format. We know your hard copy of the mag will be spine broken and dog eared in no time anyways.

From Michael Brooke "Concrete Wave in association with Silverfish Longboarding is proud to present the 2008 buyer’s guide. You’ll see quite a bit of difference in this year’s guide. Enjoy and remember, if you see something you like, make sure you tell the company you saw it in the CW guide!"

Support CW and the Buyers Guide by giving feedback to the companies and retailers you find in the buyers guide. You can also post in the CW Forum about your favorite products and items, give feedback on the BG and suggest additions for the next issue. Remember you can also find all the Buyers Guide items in the Reviews Section here on the 'Fish. Now go download and start reading!

Best ad: Paris trucks, by far.
Worst rip-off product: Leif boards "Drifter."
Most deluded: Lynn Cooper as a self-proclaimed "Skate Legend"
Worst Logo: Slip Tape (brooklyn kid=fail)
Best Novelty Shape: Beer Run
Worst Shapes: (3-way tie) Dregs Weapon, Seismic's full line of hammerhead longboards (sorry, not quite classic, Dan), everything Blackkross
The Runway Award (looks good; but it's not for me): Factory 13's awesome routered pigs.
Most Disappointing Graphics: Gravity (the pinstripe/hot rod thing is hot; but what's with the wave pictures?)
Looks Promising: Banks Cove
The Communism Award (looks good on paper; not so much in real life): Heron trucks. Make 'em turn like Indys and I'll buy 3 sets yesterday.
Worst Pro Model: Messiah's Jesus boards.
Best Pro Model: Kebbek Nico.
Most Mediocre: Rivera Longboards (baltic birch pintails! mini cruisers! innovative!).
Rocco Award (Ballsiest Graphic): Shut NYC's Box Cutter.
Worst Company Name: Slow Motion Longboards.
Biggest bandwagon: zip zinger-esque minis, pintails.
Best Slogan: Earthwing: souped up, tricked out, built for speed.
Coach Award (nice stuff that I don't want to pay retail for): Dead Dog skate shorts.
Madonna Award (best comeback): Randal Trucks
Zombie Award (for resurrecting old shapes that died a natural death): Churchill AK-45

Way sick!! I am definitley going to buy a hard copy aswell for the collection.
I really like the way Wells set his up, so I'll keep the trend. Good #### wells! Funny and informative.

Never summer: the new swift graphics are sick!! but the eclipse coulda been better, it was so good already though so hard to top. Also clear sliding wheels, eh? neat.

Randal: sweeeett!!!! black ####!!!! If its flat black my dreams have come true.

Go Radikal!

Rayne #### lookin good as usual!

Agreed on the 'Slow Motion' name! Was this the company that had crazy expensive #### a while ago?

Old School Tech Deck?! What! Sorta cool. retro even as in razor scooter retro and 80's retro. neat.

Go timeship racing!!!

I might have more to say tomorrow when i look at it again and its not 4am.
Thanks Kai and Concrete Wave!!!!

I' trying to resist downloading the BG. Itching...But there is nothing like having the real deal on hands. Will have to be patient I guess. How much long?
