Two Port Orchard teenagers were riding their skateboards along Mile Hill Drive in South Kitsap Friday around 4 p.m. when one of the boys was hit by a Chevrolet Suburban, according to Kitsap County Sheriff's Office reports.
One of the boys, a 17-year-old, told a sheriff's deputy he was ahead of his 16-year-old friend, heading east along Mile Hill Drive going downhill. The pair were skating on the shoulder of the road, going against traffic when he watched the SUV swerve onto the shoulder as it neared him.
He slowed down to look back and saw his friend laying on the ground. The SUV didn't hit the 16-year-old, but it did hit his skateboard, sending him flying into the cement, according to the report. The vehicle never stopped.
The teen was momentarily knocked unconscious. The two walked back to a home along the 1300 block of Nebraska where they waited for medical personnel.
The 16-year-old had two broken ribs and told the deputy he felt the Suburban deliberately swerved off the road to hit him.
After the indecent, deputies searched for a car matching the description given by the boys, but couldn't find it. The report was for information only.
I was bombing a more chill hill with my buddy in his neighbourhood, just having a good time, and a white SUV (oncoming) swerved into our lane and forced us off the road. I've never experienced anything like it.
i dont believe it. i know just because we are skaters ourselves we would take their side but i believe this would rather be just another typical hit and run. so really im sorry for the teens and i hope they get well but i dont think someone would hit a skater intentionally, especially if the info is coming from the victim.

HAHA! Are you kidding? I've had several people try and run me off the road, and even if they were just trying to mess with me, they still came really close and one slip of the steering wheel and I would have been in a world of hurt. Maybe this guy just wanted to grease the kid for some reason, but got a little to close. The people that give me props and/or dont care far outweigh the A-holes, but they are out there.
Yeah, it's not that he necessarily wanted to hit him, but I bet he wanted to freak out "taht fookin gay ### skater". I've had many people swerve and beep to try and freak me out cos they thought it was funny. All it takes is one slight overturn of the wheel and you have a flat skater...
Shoot them....It'll only take a few times in the news to make them scared to #### with kids on the street,hah. Who wants to be a skateboarding martyr ?
or Do like the bikers do. Carry a couple big ass ball bearings for there windows. Replacing a front windshield is gonna cost well enough to make them think twice next time.

its happened to me.. its not impossible. hell one night we were sitting in a parking lot in a park at night and some assholes drove by atleast double the speed limit, threw #### at us and tried to start a fight. it was quite possibily the most ####ed up situation ive ever seen arise.. stupid people like looking for trouble. until they realized i wasnt afraid to truck #### them if they actually wanted to start something. im usually a pacifist and don't condone violence, but hell... these guys needed a trip to the trauma ward bad.

I hate it when people try and #### with you. once had a guy cause my friend to wobble and eat ####. there have been so many people that honk though. I don't really see the point of that ####. might try bringing some metal objects to throw next time I am traveling somewhere.
