Should You Date A Skater Girl?

I got an old gf into skating...its a mixed bag.

Sometimes I loved it, sometimes...I kinda hated it. I hated the idea of her getting banged up doing something other than me lol - Honestly I really got nervous that she would get hurt.

After we broke up she kept skating, and eventually broke her ankle. I felt like ass and I wasnt even with her. Chicks skating

HOT - Chicks getting hurt....sh1tty....

Skateboard is just a long word for "fall" anyway. Its only a matter of time.

i would love to have more girls to skate with. i wouldn't care if they were better than me, that would be a good thing becuase i need someone to push me harder.

i like it
its nice to go out on long cruises and just talk and flirt and all, but when they say lets go find a nice hill....ehhhh.
i once saw one of my female friends take a wicked fall, and she almost had to get surgery to fix her knee from it.
i felt so guilty and responsible.
so its a tough call, but ilean towrds it.
im not a fan of girly girls who wear make up n junk.
gimme a athlete who looks good by herself....and a good sense of humor

I think it's great that girls skate, more power to them. I'm not attracted to it, however. Seems to deduct from that feminine charm, imo.

I suppose it's similar to girls liking guys who are wear makeup. That's cool if it's what you're into, but I'm not into it.

No. Just plain no. I'm glad my girlfriend has no interest in actually learning how to skate. She'll take my board if it's around and try to teach herself, but she has no interest in actually skating. Which in my opinion is a lot better. As AJ said, skating is guy time, it's a time to let go of all your responsibilities and just bomb some ####### hills. If my girl's around when I do that one of two things will happen, she'll kill the guy time that I'm having or she'll be freaking out and be worried sick. I love being with my girlfriend, but I'm not gonna start horseback riding just because she does, and she's not gonna start skating just because I do.

I guess I should clarify my lesbian=skater girl claim. Every girl at the skate park or that I have met I either don't know or found out that there a lesbian because it's sort of a more guy thing to do. I haven't met any real girl longboarders though, so that's in the air.

Oh, and ssg, don't tell me your not a lesbian, I've seen some silverfish pics that are quite racey, your at least bi-curious or something, or just really drunk

I guess Burnquists wife is a lezbo too huh? And Isabelle Claudelle, Alayna Scheibel, Kim Peterson....? Meh, what's the point of listing any other female skaters - the point would be lost on such a rigid mindset anyhow.

Such a throwback mentality embedded in ignorance is, fortunately, dieing off. Personally, I don't care what is going on in someones bedroom. That's their preference. What matters is: do they like to skate, are they trying to get better, and are they fun to hang with?

No way would I want to skate with a group of guys who were so insistent only other guys skated with us. I'd be wondering when the ass-grabbing-on-boards would break out

Calm down, I'm just saying that there are very few female skaters that I have even seen and the few that I have met are lesbians, like not faking it 100% lesbians, no need to personally attack me on it. I'm sure there are straight female skaters, some are on this site, I'm just saying that of the skate girls I know, they're lesbians, it's not that I'm trying to hook up with them, they're more manly than most dudes. They're pretty cool, just total lesbians. If you know straight skaters, cool. Hasn't happened to me yet.

I think it's cool when girls skate, and I don't really care either way. Just my experience so far...

This is exactly the reason I stopped my girl friend from skating. I just couldn't stand her getting hurt. And the longer/better I get at this sport, the more potential i see for serious injury and even death.

I like it when she snowboard though. When I see her rippin it, I'm like, that's mah girl!

My GF dosnt ride a bike ,much less longboard. and I think that may be a good thing.
I am not an extremely competetitve person and so it works out. She's more happyon the side of a mountain than on asphalt. Really competitive people turn me off
