This subject of this thread is almost as lame as to use the recent death of a human being, and a skater no less, as a springboard for the uber-paranoid helmet cops to stand on their soapbox and preach to the not-buying-it skeptics . No definition of 'core' from anyone here will save it. Well, with the possible exception of MHM.

ummmmm Reuben sandwiches. My wife has served me a Reuben sandwich upon my return from deployment or travel for the entire 18 years we have been together. Far and away my favorite sandwich

Actually, the last line is a bit of an inside joke.
My dad is slipping and one of the stories he tells repeatedly starts out:
"Have I told you how the Reuben sandwich got its name?"
Someone just mentioned that "It got its name from my Great Uncle Reuben. He used to make them with peanut butter and rotten cabbage. Tasty!"
My dad's story was that it was created and served in a bar in SoCal that he used to hit when he was commuting up and down the coast while working for defense contractors.
Regardless, I grew up eating them - add a shmear of hot deli mustard and it's do die for!
