or is it possible to just paint the gray/black diamonds and paint the white lines last?

Ideally i want the white to be as white as possible and i have a feeling painting white on top of black and gray MIGHT leave me with two-toned whitish lines....

anyway im set on the same color and pattern and ill fidget with it myself when i have some time but i was just curious to see what you guys thought.

Thanks
Hmm...

You could lay down the white primer coat(s), spray adhesive strings or thread in the pattern mentioned, paint the whole thing gray (I'm thinking spray paint btw), then you can stencil out your black diamonds, and finally at the end lift up your strings. just a thought.
